Hi wanderers,
Our May contemplative hike will be next Saturday, May 16th at 10am at Lower Arroyo Seco in Pasadena!
Trailhead Address: 221 San Pascual Ave., South Pasadena, 91030
There is street parking available on San Pascual and sizable nearby parking lots. We’ll meet up near the Stables. As always, to make things easier, carpool if at all possible.
This is one of our favorite spots because there's a lovely stretch of native plant restoration and a small, hidden labyrinth for a moment of quiet and centering.
Details for the trail are available at: theoutbound.com/los-angeles/running/running-the-arroyo-seco-trail
This trail is in Pasadena, California and is part of traditional, sacred, and unceded land of the Gabrieleno/Tongva, Kizh, Fernandeno Tataviam, and other Indigenous peoples.
We wander in spaces with layered, complex histories that include abuse, exclusion, and violence. We are mindful of this and committed to the work of understanding, renewed relationship, and restitution. Learn more here.
The nature of our wanderings requires a level of ability that is not a reality for all. We walk as a community, conscious of varying ability and individual need. Regardless of your particular ability, identity, who you are, who you love, your beliefs or understandings, we hope you will feel welcomed, affirmed, embraced, and heard as you wander with us.
Please send an RSVP to payton.hoegh@spiritualityinnature.org so we know who to expect!
Recommended gear: Comfortable shoes, Sun hat, Layers, Sun block, Water and Snacks.
Here are some resources we’ve been digging into. It would be nice to talk about them with friends:

Poem | All at Once by Eve Drive, Emergence

Hope to see you out there!
