October 28th, 3:00 - 5:30pm, in partnership with The Center for Spirituality in Nature, Payton will lead a contemplative experience and short mindful retreat at Charmlee Wilderness park.
As the days grow short and temperatures cool, the natural world is preparing for a season of rest and renewal. Wild spaces teach us so much about preparing for the Sabbath. Join Payton and fellow spiritual seekers in examining what wisdom is gleaned through careful attention to the patterns and practices of the natural world. What can we learn from the plants, critters, and creatures in our own sacred landscapes about being present and open to the sabbath gifts of slowness, spaciousness, rest, renewal, and restoration?
We will meet in the Charmlee parking area off Encinal Canyon Rd. and enjoy a peace-filled walk observing some of the subtle signs of Autumn in Los Angeles’ Coastal landscape. Our time together will also include:
Guided Meditation
Solo Wandering
Nature-based Spiritual Practice
Community Conversation
Tea & Refreshment
